We operate across lands associated with twelve Aboriginal language groups and have involvement with the local pastoral industry. Our business interacts daily with about 30,000 people or 60 per cent of the Pilbara population. Community support at the local level is important to the success of the business.
Regular consultation with stakeholders in the Pilbara region, inform future decision-making by the business. Consultation takes the form of:
- Community Development Liaison Officers in each town neighbouring our operations

- community advisory groups
- public consultation programmes around expansion projects
- Native title and land use agreements
- Reporting performance through the Sustainable Development Report.
