Community Advisory Groups (CAGs)

Community Advisory Groups (CAGs) are one way we stay in touch with local communities.  CAGs are established in each of our neighbouring towns in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The aim of the CAGs is to provide a forum to discuss issues of mutual concern to both the community and Rio Tinto. From these discussions, key priorities are identified as community projects.

Each CAG member is appointed to their position for a period of two years. Members represent community interests through their CAG. Participation in the group is voluntary and requires a genuine community-minded approach.
