Community forums in the Pilbara

The quality of our relationships with local communities depends on our understanding the issues and opportunities that are important to our neighbours. It also depends on our neighbours understanding what is important to us.  In this way, we are better placed to develop mutually agreed programmes of collaboration and assistance.

On an annual basis Rio Tinto Iron Ore hosts an open community meeting in each Pilbara town to discuss issues and opportunities of importance to members of the community.

The aim of the forums is to exchange and share information between community members and General Managers from RTIO. If you would like to lodge a question for your community forum, please contact us at PilbaraCommunityMailbox@riotinto.com
