Communities
Good relations with our neighbours is necessary for our business success and is why we set out to build good relationships with the communities in which we operate.
We have an important responsibility to conduct our affairs in a manner that benefits society as a whole. We also understand that mutual trust and benefit will be built on open and honest dialogue, active partnerships, and a commitment to long-term sustainability.
Developing good community relations wherever we operate finds focus through our community investment programmes, community consultation and our working closely with indigenous communities.
Community investment
Our investment in local communities reflects our approach to develop true partnerships, be it in areas of education, health, culture or the environment.
Aboriginal relationships
Our relationships with Aboriginal groups encompass issues such as access to land and community capacity building.
Community consultation
Ongoing consultation with our neighbours enables us to understand and respond to changing circumstances and concerns, and to maximise the benefits that flow from our business to our neighbouring communities.
